Street and Utility Projects for 2026
The Village of Weston has a Capital Improvement Plan which includes facilities, streets and utility projects as well as major equipment purchases. The 2026 projects include the following:
Street Projects:
- Bloedel Ave: will be reconstructed with new water main and sanitary sewer along with storm water improvements and street reconstruction.
- Concord Ave and Bayberry St: will be reconstructed with storm water improvements some minor sanitary sewer and water main repairs and complete street reconstruction to better serve the heavy truck traffic in the area.
- Jelinek Ave and Alderson St Intersection: is planned to be reconstructed as a mini roundabout similar to what now exists at the Weston Ave and Alderson St intersection.
- Major Maintenance Projects will include concrete pavement repairs on Schofield Ave east of Mesker St as well as about three miles of asphalt overlay’s on streets.
Utility Projects:
Iron, Manganese and PFAS Treatment
- The Village has put Well 4 back online and is pumping PFAS free water as of fall of 2025.
- In 2026, iron and manganese removal for Well 3 prior to PFAS treatment will be constructed at the Water Treatment Plant. The Village is working through a Safe Drinking Water Loan from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for this project in which 50% of the costs are expected to receive principal forgiveness.
