Board approves continuing to pursue a new Police Department headquarters

At the January 19, 2026 Board of Trustees meeting, the Village approved continuing efforts to pursue a new headquarters building for the Mountain Bay Metro Police Department (MBMPD) on Community Center Drive in Weston. The MBMPD is requesting the Village’s support for borrowing $4.5 million, representing the Village’s 65% share of the estimated $7 million project. Building design and final cost estimates are still under development and will be finalized prior to proceeding with any borrowing. The Village will continue to share updates on the MBMPD headquarters project through its website, social media channels, and newsletters as more information becomes available.

FINAL WASTE MANAGEMENT CART COLLECTION
Waste Management has announced a final round of garbage and recycling cart pickups.

WHEN:
Carts must be at the roadside by 6:00 a.m. Monday, February 2
(Set out as early as Sunday, February 1)

CART REQUIREMENTS:
• All carts must be EMPTY
• Carts containing any material will not be collected
• Transfer remaining items into your Harter’s carts

MISSED PICKUP?
Residents will be responsible for delivering carts to: 5509 Fuller Street, Weston
