Poll Question:

The Village is currently in the process of updating our Comprehensive Plan, which is our ten-year, broad-based strategy document to guide future development of the community.

As part of the plan update a Community Survey will be development and distributed Village wide. We would welcome resident input on questions they would like to see included in the survey! Is there something you would like asked of the entire community? Share your thoughts on survey questions HERE.

To avoid late fees or penalties, be sure to submit your payment on time. All payments must be made to the County. You can pay online, by mail, or in person - whichever is most convenient for you. To find out how much you owe or if you want to pay online you can go to Marathon County’s website and click on the Treasurer’s department, https://www.marathoncounty.gov/about-us/departments/county-treasurer.

The Community Life and Public Safety (CLPS) Committee meeting will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the Village Board Room. Click here to see the entire agenda & packet.

Marathon County is soliciting public input for the replacement of the County J bridge over Eau Claire River. The bridge is located in the Village of Weston and Town of Weston approximately 0.8 miles north of Wisconsin 29. The project is scheduled for construction in 2026, click HERE for additional information.

Updates for current roadway projects:

Schofield Ave (Normandy St to Birch St):
- Week of 6/30: Restoration of the north boulevard continues along with utility adjustments. Final layer of asphalt paving could possibly occur later in the week as well, weather permitting.

- Week of 7/7: Finish any remaining restoration and utility adjustments and then finalize paving on the westbound lanes. The schedule right now is to switch traffic to the new asphalt lanes the week of 7/14 and then begin working on the southern lanes.

Weston Ave (CR-X to Ryan St):
- Week of 6/30: Road building from Von Kanel to Heeren St to continue. With the wet weather this past week not a lot of work was able to be accomplished with the roadway.

- Week of 7/7: Road building through the Heeren intersection to continue if not finished and then work on sanitary sewer to start up again.

Fuller St:

- Week of 6/30: Continue to install new storm sewer along Fuller heading north from Rogan Ln. Potential for some hydrant and valve work later in the week.

- Week of 7/7: Continue with storm sewer working north towards Ross Ave along with spot hydrant and water valve work.

Asphalt Sealing:
- Week of 6/30: Fahrner is finishing up Schofield Ave (Ryan St to CR-J) as of 6/27. They’ll be working through the subdivisions of Windemere Oaks and Crestwood Acres along with Neupert Ave the week of 6/30.

Crack Sealing:
- Week of 6/30: Precision Sealcoating will continue crack sealing throughout the Village on various asphalt streets.
