Aquatic Center Opening

The 2025 season at the Weston Aquatic Center is finally here!

We officially open for the season on Saturday, June 7th. The Aquatic Center is open from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Saturday and 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sundays. Ideally, we are open every day now through August 24th but there are times we must close due to the temperature being below 65 degrees, inclement weather, or a patron count of less than 20 people. For the most up to date information follow us at www.facebook.com/WestonAquaticCenter.

Also, if you are interested in purchasing a season pass for the Weston Aquatic Center or a joint pass that works at both the Rothschild/Schofield and Weston Aquatic Center passes are always available online at: www.westonwi.gov/poolpass.

If you have questions regarding the Aquatic Center you can always please contact the Weston Municipal Center at 715-359-6114 or starting June 7th, you can call the Aquatic Center at 715-241-7946.

Recycling Loose

Keep it loose!

Here's why keeping recyclables loose is important:
- Efficiency: Loose materials are easier for sorting machinery to separate and process.
- Contamination: Bags and boxes can contain non-recyclable items, contaminating the recycling stream.
- Safety: Plastic bags can tangle in machinery, causing shutdowns and potential safety hazards for workers.
- Cost: Dealing with bagged recyclables can increase processing costs and reduce recycling efficiency.

Public Works Report

Updates for current roadway projects:

Schofield Ave (Normandy St to Birch St):
- Week of 6/2
: The contractor will continue with concrete work (curb and gutter, sidewalk and driveway aprons) between Normandy St and Birch St within the westbound lanes.

- Week of 6/9: Alderson St north of Schofield Ave to Weiland Ave will be closed for the week for new watermain installation. Fox St will be opened up so traffic can utilize a detour of Weiland to Fox in lieu of Alderson St. This work may run into the following week, but the goal is to get all work in this areal completed (new curb and pavement) so it won't need to be closed again later in the project.

Weston Ave (CR-X to Ryan St):
- Week of 6/2
: Sanitary sewer work to continue east of Heeren St. as well as working on sewer stub south of Heeren. A second crew will then start on watermain at Von Kanel and install towards Heeren. Later in the week they'll likely begin working on the culverts around the Von Kanel intersection.

- Week of 6/9: Sanitary sewer will continue along with laterals for water and sewer between Von Kanel and Heeren. A grading crew may possibly start rebuilding the roadway if the lateral crew gets far enough ahead.

E Jelinek Ave and Von Kanel:
- Week of 6/2
: Work should be wrapped up by the end of the week with all restoration and asphalt repairs

Fuller St:

Project is expected to start the week or 6/16.

Weekly updates on roadway projects are released every Friday on Facebook.
