Election Information

The April 2, 2024, election has come and gone. The Village of Weston had a 29 percent turnout at this election with 1,650 voters at the polls and 802 absentee voters. Thank you to all our Poll Workers, Election Officials, and Volunteers on Election Day. Their devotion and commitment to this important job is recognized and appreciated.

Our next election will be on August 13, 2024, which will be followed by the General Election on November 5, 2024. Political signs may be emerging on properties due to the upcoming elections. We wish to remind you of the following with regard to campaign signs:

Pursuant to Sec. 94.13.08(4), temporary signs on residential zoned property (which includes political signs) may be erected on residential property 60 days prior to and 10 days following any local, state, or federal election with a maximum area of 32 square feet and a maximum height of six feet.

If you wish to erect a political sign, please be sure to place these on your property and not in the right-of-way.

Gaming & Lottery Credit

If you built a new home in the Village of Weston, you may be wondering how to apply for the lottery and gaming credit so that it will appear on your tax bill. This also may pertain to some residents who don't see the lottery and tax gaming credit on their tax bill. Just make sure you will qualify before applying.
