Safely drop off your electronics and batteries to recycle at the following businesses in the county:

· Best Buy – accepting a wide variety of e-waste for low to no cost.

· Staples - accepting a wide variety of e-waste for low to no cost.

· Lowes – accepting light bulbs and lithium-ion batteries in the front of the store for drop off.

· Target – accepting cell phones and small hand-held devices in the front of the store for drop off.

· Batteries & Bulbs – accepting batteries and light bulbs for low to no charge.

· Good News Project in Wausau – accepting small appliances and electronics at $0.45/lb. Collections every Friday. Fees go to support this non-profit and local programs for those in need.

· Local Solid Waste Departments such as Marathon County Solid Waste Department and Portage County Solid Waste Department accept e-waste on a regular basis, call ahead for pricing.

Scheduled Yard Waste Pickup Update

We are hoping to finish on schedule. Please have leaves and brush out according to your scheduled date. As of 11/14/23, staff has been on Zone D and Zone E. Staff is working as quickly as they can to collect yard waste. Should you wish for immediate removal, the yard waste site is open & located at 8200 Ryan St. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
