Harter's will begin collecting Christmas Trees in the Village/Town of Weston during the 3rd and 4th week of January, on regular garbage collection days (for example, if you are a Monday garbage collection day, Harter's will be there for your cut up tree on Jan. 19th & 26th). Trees are to be cut in half, or in no longer than 4-foot pieces. They also need to be out the night before collection, or no later than 6am on the day of collection.
Please refer to the Christmas Tree Collection Map to verify the dates your tree will be collected.
If you do not want to wait for Harter's to collect your tree, or if you miss the collection, there are a few options for disposal:
Composting: Drop off your real Christmas tree anytime at our yard material site at 8200 Ryan Street. BE SURE to remove all decorations, tinsel, and lights.
Marathon County Landfill: Deliver it to Marathon County Solid Waste Department, 172900 State Highway 29, Ringle. However, they do charge a fee.
